Join an active and engaging team of business development practitioners who are driven yet deliver in a supportive and collaborative environment. The Business Development Analyst position supports the broader team primarily to:

  • Identify, develop, and promote pipeline opportunities relevant for OPTiMO and/or its JVs
  • Perform opportunity and agency research, assess research and analyze for important trends, as well as recommend OPTiMO opportunities to leverage those trends
  • Deliver an insights summary that highlights conclusions and recommendations
  • Respond to RFIs, prepare unsolicited bids and one-off marketing materials to address a prospective customer needs
  • Responsible for capturing and reporting pipeline information needed for BD forecasting and metrics
  • Demonstrate aptitude for and experience with capture and proposal phase competencies to include basic understanding of business development; develop Capture and Proposal Kickoff and related materials; writes to convey OPTiMO’s value according to prospective client needs and direction; experience working with both internal (to OPTiMO) and external teaming partners
  • Supports broader BD activities to include development of OPTiMO library of content resources and related documents
  • Back up to team when available/needed
  • Builds and maintains relationships across OPTiMO to support corporate growth goals

Attributes and Experience:

  • Well-organized, goal-oriented proven achiever
  • Proactive, outside-of-the-box thinker; inquisitive analyst who has an ability to problem solve and “find a way” around obstacles
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in technical solutions business development
  • Minimum of 4 years of Federal business development experience, with specific experience in desired Agencies and small business and 8(a) experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and promote opportunities through pipeline phases
  • Demonstrated some capture phase competencies and experience in teaming, solution development, customer call plan execution, and staffing planning
  • Proposal management / coordination skills at the appropriate level
